COMMUNITY CONSULTATIONS

Advocacy for community voices to stand up and create real-world change.

The consumer and community voice helps organisations and projects by providing a perspective specific to their experiences, capturing needs, barriers, motivations and simply their likes and dislikes. Listening to the consumer voice is often considered the only way to systematically deliver a better customer experience.

advisory groups

Advocacy Manager

As a strong advocate for the community voice in projects, I have coordinated and facilitated a number of Advisory Groups across multiple projects.

I lead Telethon Kids Institute's Youth Advisory Group from 2016 - 2019 consisting of 12 young people aged 15 - 22.

Just recently, I coordinated the Moorditj Technology Squad from 2020 - 2022, consisting of 10 parents and 16 youth aged 7 - 14 years. The Moorditj Tech Squad is a culturally diverse Advisory group with backgrounds from China, Vietnam, South African, Aboriginal Australian, Indian (Sikh) and Australia, providing a valuable perspective to Telethon Kids' Health Promotion and Education Research Team's digital projects.
