I am a passionate advocate for women of colour and marginalised groups, with a tireless commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices. My advocacy is grounded in both lived experience and professional practice, driving efforts to build a more equitable and inclusive world.
As the daughter of refugees who escaped war and re-grounded in Australia, I have first-hand understanding of the systemic barriers and discrimination faced by marginalised communities. These experiences fuel my determination to ensure that voices often overlooked are heard, valued, and acted upon.
Through speaking opportunities, panel discussions, media contributions, and project consultation, I advocate for:
Fair representation across industries
Equal access to resources and opportunities
Safe spaces for women of colour and marginalised communities to thrive
My advocacy is also deeply connected to STEM representation. I volunteer my time in schools and mentorship programs to encourage young women — particularly women of colour — to see themselves in technology careers, and to recognise that diverse voices belong in STEM.
Worked with migrant elders and seniors to inform priority research projects in health and ageing in Western Australia
Contributed to media articles on women of colour in technology, and mentored female students pursuing STEM pathways
Founded a safe support group for Black, Indigenous and Women of Colour (BIWOC)
Served as a WA Museum Boola Bardip Advisory Group member, representing culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) perspectives
Volunteered as a Women in Tech WA TechTrails speaker, showcasing UX Design Thinking to students across WA
My advocacy is rooted in a belief in the strength and resilience of women of colour and marginalised communities. By raising awareness, sparking conversations, and taking action, I aim to build spaces where every voice is heard and where opportunities are accessible to all.
