AWESOME Arts
Program Evaluation

In 2024, Upbeat Digital partnered with AWESOME Arts to evaluate a series of programs designed to inspire creativity and broaden access to the arts for young people across Western Australia.

The evaluation covered:

• AWESOME Schools – Delivered across seven schools in metro, rural, and regional WA, this program connected students with high-quality arts experiences and creative learning opportunities. The evaluation captured student outcomes, teacher feedback, and community impact.

• STEAMED Up – A program that blended science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths in playful, hands-on learning. Evaluation focused on how the program fostered curiosity, problem solving, and new ways of thinking for students.

Alongside evaluation, Upbeat Digital also developed and produced a video showcasing the value of data collection in the arts called "Measuring Success: The Role of Data in Arts Evaluation". The video highlighted how capturing and sharing evidence of impact strengthens advocacy, funding opportunities, and long-term sustainability for arts organisations. Check out the video below!

This work demonstrated how thoughtful evaluation and creative storytelling can help organisations like AWESOME Arts measure their reach, celebrate their successes, and communicate their value to stakeholders.
