A Child's RITE
App Project
A Child’s RITE is a philanthropic initiative created by mothers with lived experience of navigating health systems for their children with rare genetic illness and special needs. Upbeat Digital was engaged to lead the project from idea to prototype, ensuring community voices were at the centre of the design and delivery.
Acting as Product Owner and Project Manager, Upbeat Digital guided the team through a structured process to take their concept from vision to reality. This involved coordinating co-design activities, capturing user needs, and managing the design and development pathway to build a clear, fundable product.
Key outcomes included:
Bringing together the lived experience of 12 parents from diverse backgrounds to shape the product vision
Managing project timelines, milestones, and stakeholder input to keep the work on track
Translating community priorities into practical requirements for a digital tool
Delivering a working prototype that demonstrates feasibility and impact
The prototype is now complete, and the project is moving into the funding stage to build and scale the tool for families who need it most.
