Program Evaluation
Upbeat Digital is proud to be working alongside Barking Gecko Arts, one of Western Australia’s leading companies creating theatre and creative experiences for children and young people. Our role is to evaluate the impact of four of their innovative programs, capturing outcomes for participants while demonstrating the broader community value of arts engagement.
Through this work, we bring together insights from children, families, teachers, and artists to ensure Barking Gecko’s programs are meaningful, inclusive, and accessible.
The programs under evaluation include:
STEAMED UP
A creative learning program that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) in playful and unexpected ways. Designed to spark curiosity and critical thinking, STEAMED UP gives students hands-on opportunities to explore how creativity connects with problem solving.AWESOME Schools
Delivered in partnership with AWESOME Festival, this program introduces primary school students to high-quality arts experiences. It expands access to creative learning by connecting schools with diverse performances and workshops, inspiring the next generation of young creatives.The Master Collector
A participatory theatre project that invites children to become storytellers, collectors, and creators. Through imaginative prompts and playful activities, young people curate and share stories from their own lives and communities, building confidence and voice.Regional Teaching Artist Program
A professional development initiative that supports artists to work in schools and communities across regional WA. The program equips teaching artists with the skills to deliver impactful creative learning, while increasing access to the arts for young people in remote areas.
