Elara Method
Elara App Project
The Elara App is a wellbeing-focused digital tool designed to provide meaningful support for individuals and clinicians in managing mental health and wellness. The project is being developed through a collaborative, co-design approach to ensure it is grounded in the lived experiences of those who will use it.
UX/UI Role
User interviews – currently underway with both consumers and clinicians to capture diverse perspectives on needs, barriers, and opportunities
Workshops – planned co-design sessions to explore key features and map user journeys
Feature prioritisation – using structured activities to determine the most impactful and feasible functions for end users
Prototyping – future stage, creating wireframes and concepts in Figma/Canva based on insights gathered
User testing – planned for later development stages to validate design choices and ensure usability across different user groups
Next Steps
The project is currently in the user research phase, gathering insights from interviews. Once this phase is complete, findings will inform co-design workshops and the creation of the first prototype for testing.
Outcomes
Elara is still in early development, but the design process is ensuring that lived experience and clinical perspectives are embedded from the very beginning. This foundation will create a tool that is empathetic, inclusive, and effective in supporting wellbeing.
