The MoveTime App
Upbeat Digital worked with Healthy Strides Foundation and Curtin University on the design of MoveTime, an app developed to support young people with cerebral palsy by monitoring their activity levels and encouraging movement.
UX/UI Role
Upbeat Digital led the UX research and design process to ensure the app was built around the needs of children, their families, and carers. This included:
Conducting user interviews with parents and carers to understand daily challenges and needs
Facilitating co-design workshops to capture insights directly from families
Using brainstorming and prioritisation activities to determine which features would provide the most value
Collaborating with Curve Tomorrow (app developers) to translate insights into technical development
Next Steps
Upbeat Digital is also delivering the follow-up interviews with families during the beta trial, gathering feedback to refine usability and functionality before the app’s full release.
Outcomes
Through this process, MoveTime has been shaped by the voices of those who will use it most – children with cerebral palsy and their families. This ensures the app is not only clinically effective but also engaging, accessible, and grounded in real-life experience.
